THE WORST high jump result in international sports was achieved by Finland's Irja Lipasti. She reached a sky-high 130 centimetres in Berlin in 1936, which is still an Olympic all-time low. Finland's neighbour Sweden holds the men's record. In 1900 Teodor Blom managed to jump over a bar set at a measly height of 150 centimetres
