Trivia

THE BEST long distance runner in Olympic history is Paavo Nurmi, who won altogether 9 gold medals in three Olympics. The Flying Finn's best season was 1924 in Paris, where he won five Golds - three in individual events and two in team events. Even today Nurmi ranks alongside Carl Lewis as the Olympic athlete of all time.
